Get to know the role:

Responsible for the provision of advice to management on contemporary human resources management issues, employment and industrial law, workplace and local government. Provide advice and information to management and implement industrial relations and employment policies in best practice of the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in handling inquiries from various departments relating to disciplinary issues, staff grievances, labour disputes, counseling at the workplace, and carry out our investigation on the cases.
  • Assist to implement effective disciplinary policies and procedures.
  • Issuing disciplinary notices for misconduct cases and proceeding with necessary disciplinary action to resolve the cases.
  • Collecting evidence, and compiling documents for disciplinary action, Industrial Court and Labour Court cases.
  • Assist in conducting investigations and sit in as Secretary/Minute-taker in Domestic Inquiry.
  • Assist to review and update of Company policies relating to Industrial Relations. ∙ Keep abreast of the latest judicial precedents on dispute resolution on matters related to employment laws.
  • Record keeping and ensuring the maintenance of all IR-related documentation are in proper order.
  • Any other assignment and/or ad-hoc task that may be assigned from time to time.

You should have:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree, Advanced/ Higher/ Graduate Diploma, Diploma in Human Resource Management related discipline or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in the area related to industrial relations and employment/ labor matters.
  • Familiar with Employment Act 1955, Industrial Relations Act 1967.
  • Required skills: communication skills, negotiation skills, coaching skills, analytical skills, problem-solving skills, writing skills, computer skills.
  • Personal attributes: fair, determined, confident, critical thinker, people-oriented, logical, sense of urgency.
  • Possess good command of English & Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Performance-driven and team player.
