Get
to know the role:
Responsible for the provision of advice to management on contemporary
human resources management issues, employment and industrial law, workplace and
local government. Provide advice and information to management and implement
industrial relations and employment policies in best practice of the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
· Conduct counselling and coaching for staff pertaining to
performance and disciplinary issues.
·
Take necessary disciplinary actions including
conducting investigation, drafting letters & conducting domestic inquiry.
·
To perform analysis / prepare related reports
on employee and industrial relations and other areas within the scope.
·
Monitor employee issues and concerns (by
analyzing types of misconduct and respective departments or outlets).
·
Monitor behavior and take action to adequately
address such concerns or issues to avoid or to successfully defend against
litigation.
·
Provide informed views of best practices or
actions to take on pertinent issues to strengthen Company’s position, minimize
litigation, and protect and enhance Company's reputation.
·
Handle employees’ grievances.
·
Develop and implement ER programs to enhance
industrial harmony, which includes retaining staff.
·
Conduct HR audits which include visiting the
relevant outlets.
·
Any other assignment that may be assigned from time to time.
You should have:
- Minimum
Bachelor’s Degree, Advanced/ Higher/ Graduate Diploma, Diploma in Human
Resource Management related discipline or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years
of hands-on experience in the area related to industrial relations and
employment/ labour matters.
- Familiar with Employment Act 1955, Industrial
Relations Act 1967.
- Required skills:
communication skills, negotiation skills, coaching skills, analytical
skills, problem-solving skills, writing skills, and computer skills.
- Personal attributes: fair, determined,
confident, critical thinker, people-oriented, logical, sense of urgency.
- Possess good command of English & Bahasa
Malaysia.
